Engaging Your Active Imagination

In this week’s podcast episode, I talk about finding your unique gifts through a process called Active Imagination. While reading Meant for More by Lisa Sasevich, I was introduced to this technique rooted in Jungian psychology. Sasevich in turn credits Tim Kelly for introducing her to this concept, also known as automatic writing.

Active imagination allows you to create a two-way written conversation between you and your heart by talking to your ‘Trusted Source’ I introduce this exercise and then share my first experience with talking to ‘Life’ to explore my inner self. Guess what? Not only did I learn that ‘Life’ has a great sense of humor, but I also realized how cathartic this exercise is and plan to check in with ‘Life’ more often! (I just had an 80’s music flashback to a Prince song, lol!)

Tune in to this episode to learn more about Active Imagination and why it’s important to use it to discover your unique gifts and how to share them with the world.

Shout out to Kelly Thoreson’s Badass Bloggers book club–thank you for selecting this eye-opening book, Kelly!
